Overview

This site (https://www.johnryancottam.com) is a personal portfolio and blog operated by John Ryan Cottam. I collect only what is needed to run the site, respond to messages, and understand aggregate traffic.

Analytics

I use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. You can read Plausible's privacy policy on their site.

Contact and newsletter

When you submit the contact form or subscribe to notes, I receive the information you provide (such as your email address and message). Email is sent through Resend. Newsletter signups may be verified with Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce spam.

I use this information only to respond, send updates you requested, or operate the site. I do not sell your personal information.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Standard server and CDN logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) may be retained by the host for security and operations.
